Tasting notes: Fresh orange juice with slight bitter notes at the end, typical of oranges grown in Spain rather than in the Tropics.
Provenance information
Our orange juice uses late-harvested Valencia Late oranges, a variety noted for its intense and sweet flavour plus a selected blend of early-harvested varieties including Navelina and Salustiana. The oranges have been grown by farming co-operatives principally in the Spanish region of Valencia. We always source our ingredients sustainably, by returning to the same farms and farming communities each year. This contributes to their long term sustainable income, and also ensures Folkington’s drinks have a unique consistency in both quality and taste.

Orange - Valenceia "Late" Variety
The Valencia Late variety originates from Portugal & the Azores Islands. In 1865 the variety was imported by Englishman, Thomas Rivers, and given the name Excelsior. He sold trees to a number of growers in the USA including Mr A. B. Chapman in California, who renamed it Valencia “Late” at the suggestion of a Spanish visitor who pronounced it similar to a late-maturing variety from Valencia.
